Can you introduce your project and explain how it contributes to addressing SDG 1, No Poverty?
Our project involves doing various activities for the society to help people living below poverty line. We do events wherein we set up stalls and sell things made out of waste.
Proceed of the same goes to the underprivileged families in the form of food and clothing.
What motivated you to focus on eradicating poverty, and how did your journey begin?
Growing up in a developing country and in a middle class family I have experienced and seen things around me that really moved me to work towards poverty. Our country has so much talent but for reason of poverty it doesn’t comes to light.
Can you highlight some of the key initiatives or projects you have been involved in to combat poverty?
Stalls selling material made of waste such as paper straws made out of newspaper. By selling it the proceeds are directly used for underprivileged families.
How do you measure the impact of your efforts in reducing poverty within communities?
It will help the with the basic needs such as nutritious food and clean water.
Which I believe is the right of every individual.
But reality is that people are not able to procure even the basics.
What are some of the main challenges you've encountered in your work towards achieving SDG 1, and how have you overcome them?
Some families don’t accept our help and few were selling the rations to other which we were providing for theirs consumption.
How do you ensure that your poverty alleviation programs are sustainable and have a lasting impact?
Our basic goal is to generate money by selling products which are considered as waste. We are also planning to work on dead coconut leaves and to make them into straws. And further to sell them ahead so that the proceeds can be shared with the families in need.
Can you discuss any successful collaborations or partnerships that have contributed significantly to your anti-poverty initiatives?
We have partnered with emirates for beach clean up initiative.
In your opinion, what are some effective strategies or approaches for addressing the root causes of poverty?
I believe providing education and basic necessities such as food and shelter.
How do you prioritize the needs of the most vulnerable populations in your poverty reduction efforts?
We do a survey by door to door visit and then process the information and make our plans accordingly.

What advice would you give to individuals or organizations looking to make a meaningful impact in the fight against poverty?
Believe in serving the society. That is the best and the most fulfilling way of living life.
