Meet Dharmakshar, a Young Planet Protector!
Dharmakshar, a UKG student from Bachpan Play School, Dhar, MP, recently won 3rd place in the 2024-25 Best Out of Waste Competition. Using old cardboard, bottle caps, and colorful scraps, he created something magical out of trash. Inspired by his teacher, he believes reusing waste keeps the earth clean and sparks creativity.
With his mom’s support and a big imagination, Dharmakshar turned challenges into treasures. His mission? To inspire everyone to save the planet by reusing waste and creating eco-friendly wonders. Up next, he dreams of building birdhouses from plastic bottles and pen stands from tin cans.

Hi, I’m Dharmakshar, a UKG student who loves creating cool things from waste materials.
What materials did you use to create your "Best Out of Waste" project?
I used old cardboard, bottle caps, newspapers, and colorful scraps from home.
How did you come up with the idea for this project.

My teacher told us about reusing waste, and I thought it would be fun to make something useful.
What was the most fun part of making your project?
Decorating it with bright colors and showing my family how I turned trash into treasure.
Did you face any challenges while creating your project? How did you solve them?
Yes, sticking the parts together was tricky, but I used more glue and asked my mom for help.
Why do you think it’s important to reuse things instead of throwing them away?
Reusing helps keep the earth clean and makes us think creatively.
Can you explain how your project helps the environment?
It reduces waste and shows others how to use old things in new ways.
Did anyone help you with the project? Who was it, and how did they help?
My mom helped me cut the cardboard, and my teacher gave me ideas to improve it.
What message do you want people to learn from your project?
We can all help the planet by reusing things and being creative with waste.
What other ideas do you have for future "Best Out of Waste" projects?
